Guess what I forgot to implement in the game. Mouse support! That’s what I get for having grown up on console games and wanting to make console games.
Fortunately, it didn’t take too long to implement mouse support – just over a week. I did have to make a significant amount of refactors, because I wanted to place the mouse detection in the lowest level that made sense, and that involved moving keyboard support into the lowest level as well.
So now you can click to go through the start screen, change settings, set up controls, etc. This makes the game far more usable :) You still need keyboard or gamepads set up for controlling the characters in battle, of course.
What’s next? I’ll be sending out beta builds to interested parties, in order to get some feedback from not-me. If you are interested in trying out the beta, leave me a comment or send me a message, and we’ll go from there! :)
